Ready to tour the city...
All set for the sun and heat with our hats and fans!!!
We did the monument, museum, and white house - here are some highlights....
We were up in the monument when it started POURING down rain and we were required to evacuate - for those that don't know the top is made of aluminum and is basically a lightning rod when it is storming - you can kind of tell how much it rained by looking at the streets and while the picture does not do it justice we were SOAKED!!!
After a nap and some downtime and drying off we went out to explore some more at night...
