10 Months - a very special day!!

I couldn't resist to post about what a special day today is. Our beautiful boys were placed in our arms 10 months ago today!! Can't believe how fast the time has gone and can't believe how much our lives have changed. Today will start the days of time that the boys have been with us longer than they were at Go Vap orphanage. These boys have been such an amazing blessing to us and I am thankful each day for the work God did to put us together as a family!!!

Off to the races..

There was some serious racing going on at our house on Saturday night - I know it appears from the pictures that they never really moved but they were going back and forth for a while!!

Here is an "action shot" for the race"

HMMMM seems like there might be something wrong with your car buddy - let me come look

Yep - looks like it needs a tune up....

Or maybe just a new driver

More racing, just switched racing machines....

Rylee finally lost interest in the race, and what was on TV - time to change the channel.

It is a little early to tell but it looks like we might have a lefty (Baylee) and a righty (Rylee) on our hands based on what they do with their utensils and when they color or draw. I know that you are considered ambidextrous if you can use either hand but I am not sure what this is called...

Fair!!

The boys got to experience their first State Fair last night. At first I think it was a little overwhelming for them to take in all the people, and noise, etc but by the end of the evening they were having fun. By the time we got around to the kiddy area it was shut down for the night so we will have to make it a point of going to that part first next year!! They did get their first elephant ear...they also had grilled cheese and milkshake!!

After a while they warmed up and were smiling and laughing!!

Then they got to close the evening by listening to a concert and do some dancing and clapping!!

All in all we had a good time - most of the animals were gone but they did mooooo at the cow that was there!!

Learning and helping

The boys are still learning to master the art of spoons and here is what happened tonight...

Baylee was tired of using the spoon so he decided he could use his hands and slurp the yogurt off of his hands - it was much faster (and messier) that way!!! I love the fact that he was still holding the spoon - just using the other hand to shove and slurp!!

I think maybe they are trying out different yogurt treatments for their face...

Rylee decided he would experiment with the other end of the spoon tonight to see if it worked the same way....

Apparently it does!!!

I was doing laundry the other day and so I had the piles of clothes on the floor and the boys started playing with them and were trying to put the shorts on their head - so daddy helped and here is what that looked like....

Back home again in Indiana

I took the day off today to recoup from the trip and while I was at it got some fun pictures of the boys!!!

Unfortunately, Rylee woke up from his nap this afternoon with a fever - I am sure it was a combo of staying at hotels this weekend and being around a lot of people!! Here he is just vegging on the couch!! Don't those eyes just look pitiful....

Despite having a fever - he seems to be feeling ok - here they are at dinner tonight being big boys feeding themselves!!!

Needless to say they were quite proud of themselves!!!

Ok our favorite show - America's Got Talent is on so gotta go watch with them - they are so fun to watch during it!!

Trip to North Carolina

We took a weekend trip to North Carolina this weekend for a wedding and the boys were real troopers and did great. Here are some shots from the weekend!!!!
The boys had fun in the hallways and in the room - you wouldn't have known they weren't at home how they were running the place like they owned it :-)
The boys both learned how to do zippers this weekend!!!
Here are a few of our self portraits from the trip!!!
The boys really like talking on the phone lately so of course that was one of the first things they found at the room and while we were waiting at rehearsal on Saturday.
Another favorite thing lately has been balloons and they were thrilled that they had balloons as part of the decorations. They convinced the balloon man make doggies for them while he was making the other decorations. They were also really excited that there were leftovers of the arch they made for the church - they thought it was just their size...
After we got home tonight I decided it was probably time to set up their kitchen set I bought them because lately they have LOVED playing with my kitchen things!!!
