CRAZY week!!!

I know I am way behind on posting to the site but it has been a rough week. Rylee had another ear infection this week and just wasn't feeling good. He got tubes today so we are prayerful that he will feel much better now. Here are some pictures from the weekend when we went to see grandma, grandpa, and Uncle Gary to celebrate Uncle Gary's birthday.

Hopefully I can get more pictures tomorrow - hope you have a good day.

Some pictures for fun....

Here are some fun pictures from the last couple days.....

Baylee was having a good time dancing and playing - his smile is just too sweet....

Baylee was quite frustrated with his brother because he really wanted to play and Rylee wanted to nap!! Despite his harassment, Rylee kept snoozing away!!

Tracey sent me this picture the other day - the boys LOVE to play peek a boo!!
I gave the boys a copy of their referral picture and here they are....
Uncle Bob and Aunt Kathy, and Kacey and Lexi came over the other day to watch the boys so daddy and I could go on a date to see Michael W Smith and Steven Curtis Chapman - thanks again guys - looks like the boys had some fun!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend!!

One year ago...

A year ago today we received a phone call that would forever change our lives. Here is how it happened - My mother had surgery the day before and I was calling the hospital to check on her. While I was talking to her I had another call buzz in. She asked if I needed to get it and I told her I would just let it go to voicemail. We talked for a few more minutes and after we got off the phone I noticed I did have a message and so I called to check my voicemail. Here is the message that I heard "Hi Suzi, This is Michelle and I have your referral - I will try to call every other number that I have for you!!!". I let out a nice squeal and then immediately called Terry. Michelle had got in touch with him and he informed me WE ARE GETTING TWINS!!!!! We were open to the idea of twins but didn't expect that would happen so for the 8 months we spent waiting on referral we were focused on one child and then found out God was blessing us with twins!!! What an amazing feeling that was. Then I called my voicemail back and realized this was the true message from Michelle "Hi Suzi, This is Michelle and I have your REFERRALS!!!" A few minutes later these are the precious pictures I received and immediately fell so in love with these two beautiful boys!!
How GREAT is our GOD?!?!?!? I still look at these boys in awe - even though they look a little different than they did in the above pictures.

I again thank all of you that shared in our journey and for all your love and support through this whole process and our continued journey as parents!!! I could go on and on about how much our lives have been enriched and blessed as a result of that phone call a year ago. There was a time in our lives when we thought we would have no children at all, there was a time that we thought we would have one child, now we are blessed to have two children and we remain open to whatever God has for our future. My life verse has long been Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord "plans to give you hope and a future, plans to prosper you and not cause you harm." That verse held me while we waited and I continue to cling to it as I cling to God's plan for our lives.

To try to stop the harrassment...

I have been receiving a little grief the last couple days from some certain unnamed grandma so i thought i better post at least a few pictures......
I am embarrassed to even show this picture of myself all up close and personal but thought it would be a good example of why it is difficult to take pictures when daddy is not home :-)
Obviously I didn't realize it at the time of taking the picture but I am not sure what is going on in Rylee's mind with that look on his face :-)Here is a cute shot of Baylee from that night - then the camera died....

Though the picture does not do the face justice - they are BIG fans of powdered doughnuts - he has powder all over his face but didn't come out so well on the camera...

Last night when we got home Baylee was a little tired because he hadn't had an afternoon nap - i came in the office to put away some mail and check my e-mail and Rylee followed me but Baylee did not so i figured since things were quiet he probably laid his head down and was taking a nap - WRONG!!! I should have known better - this is what i found when i went into the room a few minutes later. He had taken the box off the couch, got the bag out of the box, and poured some coco puffs out on the floor - i guess he didn't get enough for snack earlier!!

Then Rylee must have thought Baylee needed help eating up the mess.

Good thing I had just vacuumed huh???

Exciting weekend

Sorry no pictures, it was a busy weekend and I never had my camera with me at the opportune times!! But it was an exciting weekend - both boys took their first steps!! Granted it was only one or two steps here or there but you have to start somewhere right??

Rock star

I think we have a up and coming dancer on our hands!! Too bad his brother was sleeping when this was taking place because i am sure he would have joined in the fun. The best part of the story is that he somehow turned the music on himself as well. I don't have a clue how he did that!!! Enjoy!!

HAPPY EASTER!!!

We had a busy weekend and here are some shots from the fun we had!!

On Friday night after Good Friday service we went out to dinner with some of the people from our small group. Needless to say mommy and daddy sometimes have different opinions on how to feed the children. Mommy cuts everything up into small pieces so the boys can feed themselves in small bites, daddy thinks they can handle it on their own. Here is the first french fry experience!!

On Saturday we went to Ohio to meet with our Great Aunt (grandma's sister) & Uncle - we had not met them yet so we had fun meeting new people.

Then Sunday we went to Grandma & Grandpa's after church and had fun there as well!! There were eggs for us to find and some fun new toys!! Of course, we still liked to play with water bottles :-)

Hope everyone had a great weekend, we sure did!!!

The simple things.....

With all of the toys that the boys have, it really is the simple things that they choose to play with, which cracks me up. The favorite thing to do this weekend was to play with water bottles!!!

Baylee was a big help with the coupons on Sunday!!!

Rylee is SO excited for our trip to Disneyworld in October - he was already studying the Animal Kingdom map!!

I think the boys must have heard that "Stomp" is going to be in town soon and they are wanting to try out - we were having great fun this morning playing drums with pans!!!

Getting both boys to smile for the camera at the same time is next to impossible so this is a special picture indeed - and how can you not look at this picture and smile yourself!! They honestly just make me melt more and more each day!!!!

We have our 15 month check up today so that should be fun - I roped grandpa into coming with me since daddy couldn't get off work so that there is someone to hold each of the boys - especially for shots :-(

Fun at home!!!

YEAH - it is so nice to have both the boys feeling healthy!! here is a recap of some of the fun we have gotten into the last two days.

Yesterday (Friday), is my day off because i work 4 10 hour shifts during the week. So I try to take this day to catch up on some things. Well I also decided yesterday that I am going to rename my children. I know you have all gotten used to the names Baylee and Rylee but I have decided to change them to Tor and Nado - put them together and you have Tornado!! That is what every room they got into yesterday kind of looked like. I didn't get many pictures of that but you have seen some of them in the office before. I also have to do some re-arranging in the dining room and here is what they were doing while i was trying to get that done...so much for baby proofing!!! In case you can't tell by the pictures they took the covers out of the outlets and were playing with them. Ok I know I probably should have stopped them and not took pictures but I just couldn't resist :-)

Then last night Baylee decided he didn't just want to play with the toy box and get toys out of it he would just become one with the toy box and hop on in!!!

Today is a really nice day so we decided to put together the wagon that grandma and grandpa had gotten us for Christmas. of course I could not do this task by myself I had to get some help!!!

After putting it together I had to put them in it to get their belts just right....

Then we had to go on a walk to give it a test drive....

We had plenty of energy for our walk because we had eaten lunch not too long ago. We had ravioli - Rylee especially liked it and Baylee liked to play with it on his tray more than he liked to eat it!!

Hope you enjoyed the pictures because we have had a GREAT time this weekend!
