Handsome boys!!!

Costco was having an AWESOME deal on holiday pictures (no sitting fee and packages starting as low as $7!!!!)  I took the boys today, I figured tomorrow would be too crazy with everyone trying to get there.  She took 50 pictures and here are some of my favorites!!! 

Here was the first shot that was taken - they had only been awake about 5 minutes at this point and I was unsure how the whole thing was going to go based on their inital reaction but as you will see things got better.  I was just glad they weren't crying!!!

Fun weekend

We had a great weekend!!  We went to a church in Anderson on Sunday that is the sponsor church of the group that did our home study, which is one of the first steps in the adoptiong process.  They were having a special service to honor National Adoption Month and we were asked to be a part of that.  The boys of course had no problem adjusting to being in a new place - they started exploring just about as soon as we got there!!!

They did stop for a minute to take a break and pose on the bench.

They are even all smiles in the car!! 

Like mommy, they really like to watch seasame street - especially ELMO!!! 

If Rylee is sleeping and Baylee is not he is determined to wake him up!!! 

Then he wanted to play with him while he was eating!!

We were at the mall tonight and we ended up buying something that took a while to check out and so we ended up at the mall kiosk after the mall had closed and the boys thought they owned the place - here are some shots of their adventure!!!

They loved the balloons that they were given - Baylee loved it so much he fell asleep with it on the way home

But then they both woke up and are still up right now at 11:30 pm!!!!!

Here are some shots of the boys this week just playing and hanging out.  They are at such a fun and playful age they just crack me up!!! 

When just hanging out Rylee prefers laying on his belly propped up on his arms - it is just so cute!!

As I have posted before - baby proofing devices are lost on my children - they find them to be toys and not distractions!! 

So I just gave up and came up with this solution!!!

Having a sweet brotherly moment, too bad Baylee caught me taking the picture - they were just looking at each other and talking before he spotted me!!! 

Hopefully they don't learn too soon how to "flick" the towels - I HATE that - it hurts!!! 

Terry and I got new cell phones today - the boys are really happy about that because that means they can play with our old ones as much as they want!! 

Halloween

Well the costumes didn't work out quite as I expected.  I guess I should have tried them on before time to wear them.  Here is how the evening progressed....

Somehow I don't think there is supposed to be that much skin showing!!!  Guess I should have tried them on before now...sorry boys.  In the mean time Baylee started having a monkey meltdown.

so they ended up heading out the door as cute little boys!!!  We were only making one stop anyway...

Back home

I have been yelled at since I have not updated the blog since we have been home.  I am sorry but it has been a busy week trying to get everything back in order after being gone.  And I have been on-call this week.  While not as bad as I expected things are still a little crazy with H1N1 so that has been keeping me busy.  Here are a few shots that I did take this week though....

I am not real sure what Rylee was doing here but he was chomping on the foam piece and also was "conducting" music I think...

We recently went clothes shopping to get some cold weather clothes and anyone with boys knows what a challenge it can be to find clothes so sometimes you just have to make due with what you can find.  I thought these were cute until I went to pick up the boys and our babysitters husband had nicknamed the boys "jailbirds" for the day.....he kind of has a point!

We got our H1N1 vaccine yesterday and while I didn't take any pictures of that (some people there were taking pictures!)  We also got our haircuts and the boys were more than happy to chesse in front of the camera today to show off.  Again it is a HUGE challenge to get them both to look at the camera and smile at the same time so this is a REALLY special picture!!!!

Disney day 7

We are back home again in Indiana but here are some shots from our last Disney day!!! 

These balloons were the best $20 we ever spent I think!!  The boys loved them and while we could not take them on the plane inflated I think we will be able to re-inflate them if we get a helium tank - yeah Disney fun at home!!!! 

Taking a bath in the whirlpool was a big highlight too - they don't realize that we have one of these  here at home too because we have never put them in it before - guess we will start using it!!
